I have always LOVED photos…I’m a bit of nostalgia freak. I used to sit in my parent’s basement pouring over old photo albums for hours. I was never the one behind the camera, but in the past few years that’s changed. I can pretty much attribute it to Instagram and it’s filters. All of a sudden my random photos were looking cooler with the aid of different filters. I became obsessed, especially when snapping photos of street art. I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the Lo-fi filter because it just makes all the colors POP. New York offers SO much to snap photos of…from old signage…to cool buildings, statues, and I will always love the juxtaposition of old and new…skyscrapers next to an old classically columned building. Here are a few photos of NYC that I’ve snapped over the last few years…
Wall street
Window of Bergdorf Goodman
This reminded me of a blue abstract Darth Vader but artist Xavier Veilhan entitled it Jean-Marc.
Frank Gehry’s IAC building (shot from the High Line)
The incredibly hip Maritime Hotel
Times Square
The statues flanking the Jonathan Adler store.
Bryant Park
