When my kids were younger, I had complete control over their wardrobe. Their style consisted of all the things I had collected from consignment shops, and embellishments via iron-on patches and sewn on words. I never liked baby clothes, I always liked dressing them as if they were mini adults…but ones that looked cool but had no idea they were cool. It was like having a doll all over again, until my dolls started rejecting my creative notions and decided they had their own ideas of what their style should be. My kids are older now, wearing what they like and creating their own styles…and that’s how it should be…but sometimes I see photos like the ones below, and I miss having a doll to dress…
