Last Friday I ventured to the East Village with a pal for lunch. She recommended Cafe Mogador, which specializes in Moroccan and Mediterranean food. Their hummus and falafel is to die for. It was a mild spring day so we ambled around the streets, taking in all the amazing sites. There’s just so much to look at in the East Village…mosaics on the lamp posts, street art murals tucked between buildings, eclectic signage, decorated mailboxes, and haunting faces painted on the walls… We also trekked by the corner where the big fire took place a week or so ago. The entire building is gone and is now just an empty lot.
